Dominant Sabalenka Secures Consecutive WTA Top Player Awards.

The tennis star in action
The Belarusian player concluded the year with an notable 23-3 Grand Slam win-loss record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association player of the year for a second straight season.

The 27-year-old secured four tournament victories – the highest tally on the circuit – including retaining the US Open this past September versus Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.

A Season of High Performance

Throughout the year, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine finals, with defeats coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The Belarusian also won the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She remained the entire year as the world number one, finishing 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.

In July, she became the first player to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams did so nearly a decade ago.

Historic Achievements

Sabalenka finished the competitive year with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and picked up a record £11m in tournament winnings.

She earned nearly 80% of the votes cast by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match with the aim of "elevate women's tennis to a new level".
